Suppose you're like most home cooks who love to show off their skills and passion for great food by making mouth-watering food that everyone gushes over. With the vegan movement becoming more mainstream, you will undoubtedly have to cook for vegan friends at your next patio party. You won't want to serve a salad as your token "vegan dish."

This mini-course is like an appetizer to give you a quick intro to the basics of vegan cooking. It's designed to take approximately 45 minutes, so if you have people coming for dinner tonight, there's time to squeeze it in! When completed, you will have gained the confidence and knowledge to make vegan food sure to impress even your pickiest foodie friends.

Your Course Sections Explained

I've designed lesson plans for all grades. A tried and true method to fit lots of information into small, bite-sized chunks is called the "What?", "So What?" and "Now What?" methods. This course is divided into three such sections.

In the first section, the "What?" section, you'll find the basics of veganism.

The second section, "Now What?" details how to read labels at your local grocer and compares the Canadian Food guide to a vegan diet.

The final section, "Now What?" is all about cooking! This is the section where you'll find tips and tricks, ingredient replacement options, recipe hacks and a PDF download.
